Welcome to Adam's Hope, a non-profit charity dedicated to helping families in the Quinte region affected by autism.
Autism affects 1 in 155 children and the numbers are rising and the availability for funding is dwindling and funding for alternative treatments is non-existent.
Donations received are directed towards helping families and support workers attend training programs that will provide them with valuable tools to help autistic persons cope and integrate with the environment and society. Adam's Hope also puts families in contact with trained, dependable caregivers who can make it possible for parents and guardians to have respite care. Respite care allows parents and siblings to have a couple hours away from their usual routines and helps to recharge parents and guardians and helps keeps families together. Living with autism is not easy, but with a little support and knowledge, there is hope for children with autism and their families. |
